Child Therapy

Many parents ask, “At what age can I or should I send my child to therapy?” The answer is whenever you think it is necessary. Children are able to benefit from therapy at a surprisingly early age. Of course the approaches we use with children differ from those used with adults.

Care @ Capo Beach has specialized counselors available to work with your children at their appropriate developmental stage. We offer play therapy, art therapy, sand tray, drama therapy and narrative therapy for children. Since kids learn through experience, we provide many unique opportunities for them to experience themselves and their current situation in a safe and therapeutic environment. The tools we use enable children to have a voice that they might not have otherwise been able to express because of their limited language capacity or developmental stage.
